How to Take a Full-Page Screenshot of a Website on iPhone
Safari's built-in "Full Page" screenshot saves the page as a PDF, which is awkward to send in a chat or keep in Photos. With PicTailor's Safari share extension you can save the whole page to Photos as one long image.
Steps
- After installing PicTailor, open the page in Safari.
- Tap the Share button and choose Web Snapshot. The first time, you may need to turn it on under Edit Actions at the bottom of the share menu.
- Wait for the capture to finish. The whole page becomes one long screenshot and is saved to Photos automatically; you can also tap Share to send it right away.
- To crop or split it, open PicTailor and select the image.
FAQ
How is this different from Safari's Full Page option?
Safari saves a full-page capture as a PDF. PicTailor creates an image you can save to Photos or send in any chat.
I can't find Web Snapshot in the share menu.
Tap Edit Actions at the bottom of the share menu and turn on Web Snapshot.
Does it work in other apps?
The extension works in Safari. For long pages in other apps, take overlapping screenshots and use Scrollshot to stitch them.
