How to Screenshot a Whole Chat Conversation on iPhone
A regular iPhone screenshot only captures what fits on one screen, and chat apps have no "full page" option. The easiest way to save or share a whole conversation is to take a few screenshots and stitch them into one long image.
Steps
- Open the conversation and take a screenshot starting from the first message you want.
- Scroll up a little, keeping a few lines of overlap with the previous screenshot, and take the next one. Repeat until you reach the end.
- Open PicTailor and select the screenshots in order from the Screenshots album.
- Tap Scrollshot. PicTailor finds where neighboring screenshots overlap, stitches them and removes the duplicates.
- Check the result, crop the navigation bar or input field if you like, then save it to Photos or share it.
FAQ
Do the screenshots need to overlap?
Yes. PicTailor uses the overlapping area to line screenshots up. Keeping two or three identical messages between shots works best.
What if the stitch looks wrong?
When PicTailor isn't confident, it keeps the full images so you can adjust them instead of producing a wrong result. You can also use Vertical to stack the screenshots as they are.
Is there a watermark?
No. Exported images have no watermark.
