Privacy Policy

IDShot is provided by jinshuihu. Effective September 29, 2026.

IDShot checks technical specifications only. Final acceptance is decided by the U.S. Department of State.

Your Photos Stay on Your Device

Every photo you take or choose in IDShot is checked and processed entirely on your iPhone. Your photos, the processed files and any face measurements used to check head size are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. We cannot see them.

IDShot does not keep your photos. A photo is held in memory while you work on it and released when you finish. The exported file is saved only where you choose: Photos, Files, or an app you share it to.

Permissions

• Camera — requested only when you tap “Take a photo”, to take your photo.
• Photo library — photos are chosen through the system photo picker, which only gives IDShot the photo you select. Adding to your library is requested only when you tap “Save to Photos”.

Purchases

Purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store. We never receive your payment details. IDShot verifies your purchase on your device and stores a small record of used single-photo exports on your device so each purchase unlocks one export.

No Accounts, Analytics or Tracking

IDShot has no account or sign-in. This version collects no analytics, no crash reports and no advertising identifiers, contains no ads, and does not track you across apps or websites. If a future version adds anonymous usage or crash reporting, we will update this policy first — and your photos will still never leave your device.

The “Official requirements” link in the app opens the U.S. Department of State website in your browser. That site has its own privacy policy.

Children

IDShot is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the effective date above.
