Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Click Cast (“the app”), provided by jinshuihu, handles information when you use the app. We do not require you to create an account to use core remote-control features.
How the App Works
Click Cast discovers and controls compatible smart TVs on your local Wi-Fi network, and may offer casting, keyboard, touchpad, quick launch, Premium purchases, ads for free users, and an optional Apple Watch companion.
Information We Process
- Local network / device discovery data needed to find and communicate with TVs on the same Wi-Fi network (processed on your local network)
- Photos or videos you select only when you choose media to cast; transfer happens over your local network and is not uploaded to Click Cast servers for storage
- Purchase / subscription status related to Premium entitlements (billing is handled by Apple; we may receive entitlement status via Apple / purchase infrastructure such as RevenueCat to unlock features)
- Diagnostic and crash data used to improve stability (for example via crash reporting services)
- Advertising identifiers / ad interaction data if ads are shown to free users, processed by advertising SDKs according to their policies and platform rules
- Support emails you voluntarily send us, used only to troubleshoot and reply
How Information Is Used
- To provide remote control, casting, and related app features
- To unlock Premium features and restore purchases
- To show ads to free users where enabled
- To investigate crashes and improve reliability
- To respond to support requests
Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Limited data may be processed by third-party providers that help operate the app, such as:
- Apple (App Store billing, subscriptions, and platform services)
- Purchase entitlement infrastructure (for example RevenueCat)
- Crash reporting / analytics providers
- Advertising providers (for free users when ads are enabled)
These providers process data according to their own policies and only as needed to provide their services.
Permissions
- Local Network — required to discover and control TVs on the same Wi-Fi
- Photos — requested only when you select media to cast
Data Retention
Local control and casting traffic stays on your network. Entitlement and diagnostic data retained by us or our providers is kept only as needed to operate the app, comply with legal obligations, or resolve issues, then deleted or anonymized where practical.
Your Choices
- You can deny optional permissions; some features may become unavailable
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in App Store account settings
- You can contact us to ask privacy-related questions
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page.
